What does each tool actually do?
Vendoo is a crosslisting platform. Its own site describes it as software that lets you "import, create, and crosslist your inventory across multiple marketplaces," with sale detection and auto-delisting so that when an item sells on one platform it is removed from the others automatically. That is a listing-workflow product: its value is time saved per listing and the double-sale it prevents.
Margeo is a management and net-margin tool. It records the purchase, the sale, the platform fee, shipping and tax per item, splits the cost of a bulk lot across the items inside it, and reports the net margin. Margeo's English homepage lists the features as inventory management, a margin and profitability simulator, expense tracking, multi-platform tracking (Vinted, eBay, Depop), and an offline PWA.
| Margeo | Vendoo | |
|---|---|---|
| Primary job | Net margin, fees and tax per item | Crosslisting and auto-delisting |
| Publishes one listing to many marketplaces | Not advertised | Yes, 10+ marketplaces |
| Automatic delist when an item sells | No | Yes, for Poshmark, eBay, Mercari, Depop, Whatnot, Etsy |
| Bulk actions on listings | No | Yes, up to 240 listings at once on Growth |
| Background removal | No | Yes, PhotoRoom, 300 on Growth and 1,500 on Pro |
| Records purchase cost per item | Yes, including lot splitting | Inventory records exist; per-item margin logic not verified |
| French micro-enterprise figures (URSSAF, ACRE, DAC7) | Yes, published on Margeo's own pages | Not verified — no such page found on vendoo.co |
| Best for | Knowing what a flip really earned | Listing faster on more marketplaces |
How much does each one cost in 2026?
Both companies publish their prices in US dollars, so they compare directly. Vendoo's figures below are taken from its official pricing page; Margeo's are from its pricing page.
| Plan level | Margeo | Vendoo |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 forever, no card — 10 stock items, 3 purchase lots, 5 simulations/month | 14-day free trial; no permanently free tier shown on the pricing page |
| Entry paid | Pro $9.99/month, or $69/year | Starter $14.99/month ($12.49/month billed yearly), unlimited items |
| Mid | — | Growth $29.99/month ($24.99/month billed yearly) |
| Top | Business $24.99/month — annual billing is offered for Pro only | Pro $59.99/month ($49.99/month billed yearly) |
| Above that | — | Enterprise, custom quote for 1,000+ new listings per month |
| Add-ons | — | Shopify connection +$9.99/month since 15 October 2025, billed by Shopify |
Sources: vendoo.co/pricing (plan prices, trial, unlimited items, auto-delist coverage, bulk actions, background removals) and vendoo.co/marketplaces (Shopify add-on, quoted from its FAQ). Margeo prices: margeoapp.com/en/pricing/.
Two honest observations about the price gap. First, Vendoo's Starter and Margeo's Pro are not the same product, so "$14.99 vs $9.99" is not a like-for-like comparison — one buys you crosslisting, the other buys you unlimited inventory and profit analytics. Second, the Shopify add-on means the real Vendoo bill can be $9.99 higher per month than the pricing table suggests if Shopify is part of your stack.
What are Vendoo's limits?
These are the limits I could verify on Vendoo's own pages. Where I could not verify something, I say so rather than guessing.
- Vinted coverage is unclear. Vinted appears on Vendoo's marketplace list, but the entry links to vendoo.co/marketplaces/vinted-us, a US-focused page. And the auto-delist line names six marketplaces — Poshmark, eBay, Mercari, Depop, Whatnot and Etsy — without naming Vinted. I could not verify whether Vendoo crosslists to Vinted France or other European Vinted accounts.
- Leboncoin and Rakuten are absent from the list. Vendoo's marketplace page lists Shopify, Whatnot, Grailed, eBay, Vinted, Depop, Sellwild, Poshmark, Facebook Marketplace, Mercari, Vestiaire Collective and Etsy. Leboncoin and Rakuten do not appear there.
- No European tax calculation found. Vendoo advertises analytics for "profit, revenue, average sale price, top-selling categories, brands". I found no page on vendoo.co covering URSSAF contributions, the versement libératoire, the micro-BIC ceiling or DAC7 reporting. I cannot claim Vendoo does not handle them — only that I could not verify that it does.
- No permanently free plan shown. The pricing page offers a 14-day free trial. Whether an older free tier still exists is not verified.
- Profit tracking is described at business level, not per-purchase level. Vendoo's analytics material talks about sales performance, top brands and categories. Whether it lets you enter a purchase price and split a bulk lot across items is not verified.
What are Margeo's limits?
- Margeo does not crosslist. Nothing on Margeo's English pages advertises bulk publishing to many marketplaces or automatic delisting. If that is your bottleneck, Margeo will not fix it.
- Margeo covers fewer marketplaces than Vendoo. Its homepage names Vinted, eBay and Depop as the multi-platform example; Vendoo lists twelve marketplaces. On raw marketplace count, Vendoo wins.
- No background removal, no listing videos, no Poshmark auto-offers. Those are listing-side features and Margeo's pricing page does not list them.
- The free plan has hard limits. Starter is free forever but capped at 10 stock items, 3 purchase lots and 5 simulations per month. Above that you pay $9.99/month.
- Tax logic is France-centric. URSSAF rates, ACRE, the micro-BIC ceiling and DAC7 thresholds are published on Margeo's pages for the French regime. If you file in another country, do not assume those figures are yours.
When should you choose Vendoo?
Vendoo is the right tool when listing time is the constraint, and I would say so plainly:
- You sell across four or more marketplaces. Writing the same listing four times is the tax crosslisting removes.
- Double-selling is a real risk. Auto-delisting across Poshmark, eBay, Mercari, Depop, Whatnot and Etsy is the feature that pays for itself.
- You refresh stale inventory in bulk. Vendoo's Growth plan handles up to 240 listings at once.
- You want one tool for listing plus a sales dashboard. Vendoo's analytics covers revenue, average sale price, top brands and categories, and exports spreadsheets.
- You are mostly on US marketplaces. That is where its marketplace list is deepest.
When should you choose Margeo?
- You cannot answer "what did this item earn?" Sale price minus purchase price is not profit. Fees, packaging, shipping and contributions change the number, sometimes the sign.
- You buy lots, bundles or pallets. A 60 EUR lot of five items is 12 EUR of cost per item, and only lot splitting shows the real per-item result.
- You sell in France or the EU under a micro-enterprise regime. Margeo publishes the URSSAF rate, the ACRE window, the ceiling and the DAC7 thresholds it applies.
- You source in person. The offline PWA matters at a flea market with no signal.
- You want to start without a card. Starter is $0 forever, capped at 10 items.
A worked example: the same flip, two different answers
You buy four pairs of sneakers for 80 EUR, so each pair costs 20 EUR. One pair sells on Vinted for 45 EUR with the buyer paying shipping. Assume Vinted's 0% seller commission, 0.60 EUR of packaging, and French cotisations at 12.3% of revenue.
| Line | Amount |
|---|---|
| Sale price (Vinted) | 45.00 EUR |
| Vinted seller commission | −0.00 EUR (0% seller fee) |
| Cost of goods (80 ÷ 4) | −20.00 EUR |
| Packaging | −0.60 EUR |
| Cotisations (12.3% × 45) | −5.54 EUR |
| Net margin | 18.86 EUR (41.9% of the sale price) |
If you also opted for the versement libératoire, Margeo's own material adds a 1% income-tax prepayment on revenue, taking the total deduction to 13.3% of the sale and the net to 18.41 EUR. A crosslisting tool would report this same event as a sale detected and the listing removed from the other marketplaces — which is correct and useful, and simply not the same number.
Where the two tools overlap — and where they do not
Both hold inventory records. Both show you sales. Both have a mobile app. Neither is a substitute for the other's core job, and the honest framing is that they sit at different points in the same timeline:
- Before the sale — Vendoo's territory. Publishing, delisting, bulk refreshing, avoiding double-sales.
- At and after the sale — Margeo's territory. What you paid, what the platform took, what the tax authority takes, what is left.
A serious multi-marketplace seller can reasonably run both. What you should not do is buy a crosslister expecting an accounting answer, or buy a tracker expecting it to publish your listings.
Which one should you pick?
If your bottleneck is listing volume across US marketplaces, pick Vendoo — its published prices start at $14.99/month and its auto-delist coverage is the concrete feature you are buying. If your bottleneck is not knowing whether you are actually profitable, pick Margeo, whose Starter plan costs nothing and whose whole purpose is the net number.

Track your real margin per item
Margeo's Vinted tracker logs the purchase cost and the sale price per flip, splits lot costs, applies the fee and contribution figures, and shows the margin that is left. Start free on the Starter plan — no card, 10 items.
